Brett R. Calhoun, General Manager

As a Yakima native with a degree in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University, Brett’s role with Pride Packing comes naturally. His time spent on a farm has gone from picking cherries for candy money to an advanced understanding of orchard operations following his experience as a viticulturist and manager for a lower Yakima Valley vineyard operation. Brett returned to farming and orchard management in 2007 at Yakima Valley Orchards, and found his home in 2013 with Pride Packing as Director of Orchard Operations.

Javier Luna, Manager of Packing Operations

Javier grew up in the Yakima Valley and began picking agricultural products at the age of six. Immediately after graduating from high school in 2000, he went to work for Pride Packing Co. as a segregator and stacked boxes. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently and served as the translator for the previous Packing Operations Manager. His experience translating allowed him the opportunity to learn all aspects of packing operations from both the crew and the management perspective. His areas of focus include inventory control, product quality control, sanitation, and Primus inspections.

Mickey Mercurio, Sales

Mickey’s extensive industry background as a buyer, wholesale broker, and shipper makes him uniquely qualified to identify opportunities and understand customer needs. Mickey joined Pride Packing in 2007 and has been an important part of expanding markets and sales for Pride Packing.
