Deanna Adams - Manager
Packing Operations

Deanna was raised locally and began her career in the fruit business as a young girl picking crops in the Yakima Valley. Deanna came to Pride Packing Co. in 1996 with over 12 years experience managing fruit packing and storage facilities. Deanna’s past projects with Pride Packing Co. range from the selection and installation of the new soft fruit packing line to the design and construction of the controlled atmosphere rooms. Her knowledge of the equipment types available, the proper handling, labeling and packing of the fruit is unsurpassed in the industry.

Dolly Busey - Sales Manager

Dolly has enjoyed a 30+ year career in the fruit business in the Yakima Valley. She started with Pride Packing Co. in 1989 as Sales Manager. Dolly’s knowledge of the soft fruit and apple business ranges from the numerous pack sizes, grade and availability of each product line to the daily changing market price of each commodity. Dolly also possesses extensive expertise in the shipping of product overseas to foreign customers. Her knowledge of the fruit industry ensures the best and most current
information to her customers.

 
Steve Nunley - Director
Farming Operations

Steve has spent his entire 23-year career at Pride Packing Co. His experience encompasses all phases of the agricultural aspects of the fruit growing business. Steve has been instrumental in leading the industry in the planting methods currently employed in the soft fruit business. One innovation currently in use at Pride Packing Co. is the tree-training program using the 2-leader system.

Our 2-leader planting system ensures more sugar content in the fruit due to a greater exposure to the sun. Steve has been on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Stone Fruit Testers for the past 7 years. In this role, He is active in the testing and evaluation of new fruit varieties that originate all over the United States. Additionally, Steve has just been appointed to the Washington State Stone Fruit Research Committee. This committee is responsible for evaluating industry trends and the future of the stone fruit business.
