Darrell Riddle - Manger, Pride Packing Co.

Darrell grew up on his family’s orchard in the upper Yakima Valley. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University, he worked for five years in the banking industry in agricultural lending. In addition to owning and managing his own orchards, he also managed the field staff of a large commercial grower/shipper for 15 years. Darrell came to work for Pride Packing Co. in April, 2008. Darrell’s financial expertise and understanding, along with his vast industry knowledge, is highly regarded within the industry.

Javier Luna - Manager of Packing Operations

Javier grew up in the Yakima Valley and began picking agricultural products at the age of six. Immediately after graduating from high school in 2000, he went to work for Pride Packing Co. as a segregator and stacked boxes. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently and served as the translator for the previous Packing Operations Manager. His experience translating allowed him the opportunity to learn all aspects of packing operations from both the crew and the management perspective. His areas of focus include inventory control, product quality control, sanitation, and Primus inspections.

Steve Nunley - Manager of Farming Operations

Steve has spent his entire 30 year career at Pride Packing Co. His experience encompasses all phases of horticulture and the fruit growing business. Steve was instrumental in leading the stone fruit industry to the current planting methods. He was also actively involved in the implementation of the innovative “Two Leader” growing system.

Steve has been on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Stone Fruit Testers for the past 10 years. In this role, he tests and evaluates new fruit varieties that originate all over the United States. Additionally, Steve is part of the Washington State Stone Fruit Research Committee. This committee evaluates industry trends and the future of the stone fruit business.

Dolly Busey - Sales Manager

Dolly’s career spans more than 30 years in the fruit business in Yakima Valley. She started working for Pride Packing Co. in 1989. Her broad knowledge of the stone fruit and apple business includes package sizes, grades, availability of each product line, and the daily changing market price of each commodity. Dolly also possesses extensive expertise in overseas shipping and the requirements of foreign customers. Because of her thorough and vast knowledge of the fruit industry, we are confident that Pride Packing Co. customers always have the best and most current information.
